Abstract

Latar Belakang: Penyakit paru obstruktif kronis (PPOK) merupakan penyakit kronis yang progresif yang membutuhkan kemampuan pasien melakukan perawatan diri. Tujuan Penelitian: Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan dan status ekonomi dengan perilaku perawatan diri pasien PPOK. Metedologi: Desain penelitian adalah deskriptif korelasi menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 72 pasien PPOK, menggunakan tehnik purposive sampling. Data di analisis dengan uji korelasi Spearman menggunakan program SPSS. Hasil: Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan PPOK (p=0,001) dan status ekonomi (p=0,002) dengan perilaku perawatan diri pasien PPOK dengan α=0,05. Kesimpulan: Tingkat pengetahuan responden mempengaruhi perilaku perawatan diri pasien PPOK terkait informasi dan pengalaman yang mereka peroleh. Perbedaan status ekonomi mempengaruhi perilaku perawatan diri pasien PPOK berdasarkan kemampuan dalam pembiayaan dan akses layanan kesehatan serta kemampuan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari.
